This Privacy Notice provides information on how Angela Yotov and Charlotte Butterfield, co-founders of the not-for-profit mentoring initiative, Mentorix (“we”, “us”, “our”) collect and process your personal data when you email or otherwise provide us with personal data. This Privacy Policy is addressed to all individuals who choose to participate in the programme as mentors, mentees or as members of the Advisory Board (the “Mentoring Programme”).
The data we collect about you
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you including:
· your name, the company you work for and contact details, including your email address and phone number, where relevant;
· any other personal information you have provided directly to us; and/or
· any personal data obtained from the public domain such as LinkedIn or business websites.
How we use your personal data
Under the General Data Protection Regulation and implementing legislation such as the Data Protection Act 2018 (“Data Protection Law”) we can only use your personal data if we have a proper reason for doing so. For example, where you have given consent. The reasons below explain what we process your personal data for and our reasons for doing so.

Our reasons:
To contact you in relation to participating in the Mentoring Programme. With your consent, to establish which mentors and mentees will participate in the Mentoring Programme;
General administration of the Mentoring Programme including collecting data via Survey Monkey in order to suitably match mentors and mentees. With your consent, to ensure that we make the most suitable matches for participating mentors and mentees and to allow us to conduct the Mentoring Programme in an efficient and professional manner;
To share names, companies and email addresses between participants in the Mentoring Programme to allow the most effective networking opportunities. With your consent, to effectively and efficiently network and collaborate with fellow participants in the Mentoring Programme;
To contact you about:
events or meetings including providing attendee lists and email addresses to third parties who have agreed to host events or to cover the Mentoring Programme in the press subject to your consent being specifically obtained in advance of you being mentioned in any article; or
developmental literature,
relating directly to the Mentoring Programme;
With your consent to conduct the Mentoring Programme in an effective manner allowing participants to maximise and gain access to the networking and developmental opportunities and learnings available from the Mentoring Programme;
To request feedback from mentors, mentees, Advisory Board members and third-party hosts in relation to the Mentoring Programme and events and/or meetings. With your consent to:
· conduct the Mentoring Programme in an effective, efficient and professional manner; and
· to maximise opportunities for both mentors and mentees.
How we share your personal data
We may disclose your personal data to third party recipients in connection with the above purposes, including to third parties who we engage to provide services to us including Squarespace.com, Survey Monkey, Google and Microsoft or on behalf of us and/or to competent regulatory authorities and bodies as requested or required by law.
Retention of Data
We will retain your personal data for so long as you participate in the Mentoring Programme and for such a period of time after you cease to be a part of the Mentoring Programme as is necessary to comply with our obligations under any applicable law and, if relevant, to deal with any claim or dispute that might arise in connection with your participation.
Your rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under Data Protection Laws in relation to your personal data including the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues.
